Google AI Studio provides free API keys that let you access Gemini and Veo directly. You can get one in minutes at aistudio.google.com. Magic Frame uses your key to generate content—we never see or store it.
Is there a cost for using the AI?
Google offers a generous free tier for their AI APIs. Most casual users won't exceed it. If you generate heavily, you may incur costs from Google—but that's between you and Google, not us.
Where are my creations stored?
Everything stays on your Mac. Images and videos are saved to your Documents folder. Your API key is stored in macOS Keychain. We have no cloud storage and no access to your files.
What are reference images?
Reference images guide the AI's style. Add photos, artwork, or previous generations to influence the color palette, composition, or aesthetic of new creations. It's like giving the AI a mood board.
Can I edit my own photos?
